On February 8-9, 2025, the Kazakhstan Masters Athletics Federation (KMAF) held the next winter Athletics Championships of the Republic of Kazakhstan for athletes over 35 years old and in athletics among amateurs 18-34 years old. These competitions were held simultaneously as part of a single program at the Qazaqstan Athletics Sports Complex at 59 Turan Ave., Astana.
The competitions included running disciplines from 60 to 3000 meters, 3000 m race walking, technical types include shot put, long jump, high jump, triple jump. The 4x200m, 4x400m, and 4x200m mix relay races are also on the program.
More than 350 athletes, including relay teams from all regions except the Turkestan region and cities of national significance in Kazakhstan aged 18 and over 75, took part in the Championships. 68 records were set, 3 were repeated. In the team competition, the athletes of Pavlodar region took the first place, winning 57 gold, 30 silver and 20 bronze medals. The second place was taken by representatives of Astana with 72 medals, of which 32 first, 19 second and 21 third places, the third place in the team competition went to the team of Almaty, which has 25 gold, 15 silver and 11 bronze. Representatives of Kyzylorda conceded quite a bit to them. Shymkent and Kostanay took 5th and 6th places respectively.
The winners and prize-winners were awarded with diplomas and medals with the symbols of the Federation and engraved with the place and date of the event, as well as gifts and certificates from partners Global nomads, Health nation, Galamilk in certain age categories.
In addition, during the competition, the best masters of Kazakhstan in 2024 were awarded among men and women over 35 years old.
